In The Studio....

Exciting, exciting, exciting! We're working on new music as I type this! Let me hear ya say, "Woot! Woot!" ;)

You can expect at least one fresh new gem for your ears by the end of this month. We've been working on finessing our sound and making it focused and potent, so I hope y'all be able to keep up with us!
Just kidding, I don't think you'll REALLY have a problem keepin up...besides getting over your wonder at the amazing sounds pumping through your body, hahaha!
Sorry, I'm just excited to get on the mic and get some new stuff out there for everybody to get crazy too! :)

New York! New York!

A couple of months ago I decided, pretty spontaniously, to took trip out to New York. It was my second time ever having been. The first trip was a whirlwind New Year's Eve 72hour party trip a few years back. I remember having a great time and thats about it, hahaha!

So I was pretty excited to be able to visit again and explore and see much more of the city. The actual purpose of the trip was two fold. Fist of all I was visiting a good group of friends who live out there, and secondly I was doing promotions for Aural Fixation and Boogiebeat Records. What resulted was insanity, hilarity and one of the best damn trips I've taken so far in my life!

My sister from another mister joined me on the adventure and together we took over New York for a week.

Here's a glimpse.....

Spreading the word, one flyer at a time!

We went to this cool ass spot in the L.E.S, called Identity (I think). Despite the name it turned out to be filled with super chill folks into reggae, dancehall and hip hop. They even had breakers from Rock Steady rippin it up on the downstairs dancefloor, which was really more like a dance sauna cuz it was HOT down there! We had a hella fun tho, drank a lot and then took the party to the streets and procedded to bring East Bay ghetto to New York posh by paper baggin some 40's and sippin while we walked around. We ended that night with DELICIOUS falafel and a cab ride over to our friends house in Brooklyn where we crashed for the night.

Central Park was definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip. I fell in love. It's beatiful, diverse and engaing, just like the city it lives in.

My very talented friend Bay who is an amazing photgrapher and my equally amazing friend Casey, having an improptu photo shoot in the park :)

Our last night in the city was INSANE! We went to a graduation party for Casey who just got her Master's degree from Columbia. They had an open bar and we thought we had to empty it out or something like that. The next morning and our 8am five hour flight home was ROUGH to say the least. But I don't regret it. It was an awesome way to bid farewell to the city.
